Take Two Blog Tour Stop

He’s ready for his close up, but she’s the one calling the shots.
On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.

Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she’s one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst…if he even remembers her.

Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he’s sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes—and oh, he does like—but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn’t stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.

But as the shoot nears its end, it’s decision time. Is it time to call, “Cut!” on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?

Warning: Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

When I first got the email to sign up for Laurelin Page's Take Two, I was intrigued and worried at the same time. I've read a few books about the heroine falling in love with the superstar and worried it was going I be same story different characters. I was completely wrong and I was thrilled about it.

So Maddie just graduated and was dragged to a party by Bree her best friend. This I where she met Micah. Micah is an actor who was at the party because it was to celebrate finishing the movie he just stared in. Both of them didn't want to be there so their first instinct was to hide. When Maddie was walking back to an area that looked secluded, Micah was already in that same spot. Major attraction overload!! Hottttt overload that lead to Maddie achieving a big O and left Micah with a bad case of blue balls. That's it that's the end.... Or maybe not.

7 years later they meet again at the airport. They both act like they don't recognize each other but of course that same intense attraction is there and they can't seem to keep it under wraps... Maybe at first but not for long. Maddie is the camera guys assistant so she sees him every day. She wants to be with him but he doesn't do relationships... So where does that leave them?

Will Micah take a chance on Maddie? Will Maddie understand what comes with being in a relationship with a star? What happens when the movie wraps and seeing each other every day is no longer a possibility? Acting is Micah's dream... Directing is Maddie's dream.... Is there a compromise or is saying goodbye the only option?

I spread out reading this book because I didn't want it to end. I'm so in love with Maddie and Micah's story that I wish there was more. You should totally pick up this book if you haven't already!

Take Two was an AWESOME book.  I absolutely loved it.  Maddie and Micah met at a wrap party for an indie film.  IT was a quick make out session before Maddie’s best friend got sick and she had to leave.  Micah wanted more time with her, but it didn't happen.  And as he started his career he was told relationships would only hold him back.  So he made his motto never to have one.  We are fast forwarded 7 years later and Maddie is pulled to work camera on a film, and WHO is in the film??  Yep Micah.  She notices him right away, and she thinks he has no idea who she is.  Only we find out he does and is just being a totally ass.  HE wants her but is trying not to.  Maddie can't  get involved with “the talent”  but oh boy does she want him.  You know sexual tension can only last too long before it needs attention right?  Oh boy these two don’t disappoint.  I love that we are inside both of their heads because we can see them both trying to keep it fun and not have strings attached but also watch them both fight that this is more than just attraction.  Laurelin Paige does an amazing hub building the tension we need in a story like this.  Fall in love with Maddie and Micah’s story.  Can they make this work in the movie industry?  And Can Micah trust his feelings for Maddie or will he be a jerk?  AHHAHA ya I know guys right?  I love the ending absolutely and want more of these two!  It does Take Two to make a relationship work.

About Laurelin
Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
