 Playlist
I love music! I have used some of these songs in Embracing Love. I have listened to all of them while writing, some of them over and over. I would open the playlist and get lost in the music while writing. Each song has lyrics that fit with the characters, and their story. There are a couple songs that mean more than others. When I say I had them on repeat, they were on repeat for hours! My husband is thankful for my ear buds.

Sweet Nothing - Blog tour

We are so happy to be part of this tour.  Check out the synopsis, the review and Enter the giveaway! :)

Elliot Halloran is running away. Away from her privileged Manhattan upbringing and a promising future at business school. Away from her family, which plummeted from A-list to disgraced after her criminal father’s atrocities were exposed. Despite the guilt Elliot feels for abandoning her family, she has no choice. She is too recognizable to live life as the person she has always been. So when an old family friend offers her a position as an economics instructor at Miami’s elite Alford Academy, Elliot jumps at the chance to distance herself from her past. She cuts her hair, changes her name, and vows never to speak of her old life again.

Keeping her identity hidden is harder than Elliot expected, especially with a roommate who seems to be on the verge of uncovering her true identity. As she fumbles through the opening chapters of her new life, Elliot encounters an entirely unforeseen obstacle: photography instructor Luke Poulos. Luke is sensitive and spontaneous. An art lover. Smart. Everything Elliot has ever wanted. Luke and Elliot’s connection deepens when she learns that he lost his parents in a car accident when he was a teenager. Like Elliot, Luke understands that life can shatter in an instant.

Elliot knows that a relationship with Luke is impossible; that he would never love her if he knew the details of her past. But as she struggles with whether to open herself to love or keep her true self locked away, Elliot learns that she’s not the only one with secrets.

Christina's Review

I jumped into sweet nothing with gusto.  I was going to read like a mad woman.  Elliot "Elle" 's Story Captured me.  I had trouble referring to her as Elliot because that is my nephew's name. HAHA Anyway Elle has moved to Miami to become an economics teacher and to escape the rough past of her family.  She leaves behind her sweet sister, her drunk of a mother who blames her for everything and her dad, who is in prison. She has changed her hair, and her name in a sense.  Her roommates are awesome! I love Waverly and Gwen.  Gwen, though is a smart cookie and figures out Elle's secret.  We all need a sweet friend like her.  I have mad respect.  Elle's mentor is a hottie named Luke.  He takes to her quickly and she falls for him.  He has a secret too.  Will their secrets destroy them?  Can they trust each other?  When and emergency at home sends Elle Back to New York what will be decided?
I loved the characters in the book! All of them.  I do wish that the book wouldn't have stopped where it did.  That part frustrated me.  But I guess that means a great story flow right?   Go check out Sweet Nothing for yourself!

Sugar and Spice - Naughty and Nice - Giveaway Heather Hildenbrand

We hope you all had a great Christmas!! Heather Hildenbrand is doing an awesome giveaway.  Below you will find a Ford quiz.  From A Risk worth Taking and also a raffle copter giveaway! Check it all out! :)

I love perusing the smutty magazines in the grocery line. It’s a thing of mine. I never actually buy them but I’ll stand and study them like they’re the breaking news ticker on CNN. My daughter (who is 10 going on 17, by the way) LOVES those magazines and every chance she gets, she buys a Tiger Beat or something like it. I get a kick out of them, but also it’s weird how similar the kid version is to the adult. I mean, we don’t ever really kick our inner teenager, do we?? (which is why I write YA.) One of my favorites is the: “How well do you know your man?” quizzes.
I couldn’t help myself. I made one for Ford. Well, what are you waiting for? You know you want to take it…
How well do you know Ford O’Neal?
What color are his eyes?
How many serious or long-term relationships did he have before Summer?
What type of degree does he have?
What does he hope to do regarding his career while at Heritage Plantation?
What state is he from?
What does his dad do in his spare time?
What’s the name of his truck?
What color is his truck?
After Virginia, his next work-study program is in what state?
In A Risk Worth Taking, during the scene when Ford goes to Summer for his new employee paperwork, they have a conversation heavy with tension and he traps her between himself and the filing cabinet. After Summer hands Ford the forms, what is the one thing he tells her he needs from her?

Once you have the answers, email me at heatherhildenbr@gmail.com
For everyone who gets them ALL right, I will mail you signed swag!

Cover Reveal - Provoke the Darkness - Christopher Chapman

We are excited to share with you a new author and a great friends first book!  The Cover is AWESOME!!

Blurb.
It's his graduating year and everything has gone to shit, pardon my language, but if you knew what he's about to go through this year, you'd understand. It's never just one thing, but a collection of things that bring a person to their breaking point and he may have just hit his.
His name is Ethan Cameron, and with an unexpected phone call from his mother, his life has changed drastically. More than I ever thought possible. He wanted a simple life. One that would have him working nine to five job that he enjoyed, with a wife and two and a half children. He must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, because it doesn't look like that is the future that the 'higher ups' have for him now.
Maybe I'm the one who turned his life around, maybe it was the feelings that I have towards him that changed his fate. Could it be my fault that his life is ending?
***
I've always admired comic book characters, the ones that would go off and save the world. The only problem is I think it will be me that they'll have to save the world from.
My grandmother tells me that I have is a gift, and that it should be embraced. She's also crazy, like legit hears voices in her head crazy. To me, this gift feels more like a curse. A burden. It's slowly driving me crazy.
I never thought life would be this complicated. I'm not quite sure where my loyalties lie anymore.
Is it about doing the right thing, or staying alive?

A male Romance Author… a convention in Vegas… a female book blogger… a goal to lose her virginity… what happens when you mix all the above?

Fallon McKinley is headed to Vegas for the Wicked Wenches Romance Con and losing her virginity is only one of her goals. The other is to meet her favorite author of romance novels, R.T. Sinclair. What she doesn’t realize is that the sexy green-eyed god she rams into at the airport is the real R.T. When they keep running into each other, she’s shocked, but excited, because the attraction is irresistible.

Ryland Thomas Sinclair doesn’t want anyone to know his true identity. He’s the author that all women love, but everyone thinks he’s a female. He hides his persona behind the public face of his twin sister, keeping his own a secret. But after meeting the lovely Fallon, his intentions to avoid a relationship come to a screeching halt. She’s put an unwanted kink into his perfectly laid out plans. His unusual reaction surprises him because after a heart-shredding breakup a few years ago, he’s managed to avoid women at all costs.

Resisting Fallon becomes more difficult than he imagines. Soon things are spiraling out of control, until a major miscommunication has Fallon walking out of his home and his life. Will Ryland Thomas succeed in losing the woman he loves? Or can he win her back?

Author Information

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window.  She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss and quit her job.  Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a YA/NA and Adult Romance writer. Her books include the following: Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge and Kissing Fire (The Edge Series); The Guardians of Vesturon series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent and Beginnings); Dark Waltz and Tragically Flawed.

Other than being in love with writing about being in love, she loves chocolate, ice cream and coffee and is positive they should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

Time after time, she chooses to fight even though she's consistently poised to break. It's that fight to get her life back, to make things right, to survive that defines who she is. You'll cheer her on until you realize all is not what it seems. Appearances can be deceiving.

Seamless captured me from the first page.  I new it would be a book full of intensity and would keep me guessing.  Stella seems to be having a rough life.  At times I had a hard time relating to her.   Poor dear, her fiance died, then she found out he was alive and was part of an investigation and he kidnapped and tried to shoot her.  I guess that would play with ones mind.  But through it all she has her George and her best friends, Patrick, Millie, Jesse and Billy.  Throughout the book Stella was trying to live her life as she thought and thinking of ways to get rid of Jamie, her ex who she thought was dead.  George wants his own revenge too.  The majority of the book is them figuring out HOW to get Jamie.  But Stella and George have their own things to work out.  Now George loves Stella unconditionally and Stella well she keeps thinking she is going to die because of Jamie and nothing is permanent. All these issues Stella is working out with her therapist who tells her she is handling it all seamlessly.  She keeps it together on the outside but we get to see her freak out on the inside.  When it comes down to getting Jamie how will Stella handle it?  And when her best friend  Patrick comes to find where she is what will be revealed?  I can tell you I was shocked!! And Stella and George’s relationship also hangs in the balance.  I can tell you this is a very FULL book.  But one that you will love the whole journey!

Out of the Ashes Review

Synopsis:
Out of the frying pan and into the fire…
Paige Hill is discovering who she is again after losing everything she loves in a tragic fire. She’s endured a long road to recovery with the help of her best fiend Gillian and is finally beginning her life again: college, a job, and a blossoming love she never even saw coming.
Clay Forbes is the notorious campus playboy. He’s a star athlete, a senior architecture major, and the only son in a family with power and money back in his hometown. When he crashes into Paige, his whole perspective on life shifts, and his world as he knew it becomes nonexistent. He’s wrapped up in her.
They’re both learning how to love, but Clay’s ex-girlfriend Hannah won’t make it easy for them. She puts a target on Paige’s back, and won’t stop until she’s derailed their budding romance once and for all. Who will be left standing after the ashes settle for the second time?

When Diana Gardin contacted us about reading her book Out of the Ashes, I was immediately intrigued and when I finally saw the cover I couldn’t wait to start the book. Needless to say I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved the story and though there’s a major cliffhanger, I saw it coming, I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.
Paige Hill suffered a horrific tragedy and is now coming out of her shell to embrace life again. Running into a guy while she’s picking up her books for her college classes is the last thing she was expecting. To be attracted to said guy is something else entirely. Taking each day in small doses, she goes home and cracks open the books until her best friend Gillian drags her to a frat party.
Clay Forbes is the campus playboy, soccer star, and the last one expecting to run into a girl he can’t get out of his head. When he runs into a girl at the campuses book store she takes over his mind, but a party should clear that up right? Beer and hot girls to push out the thought of someone else, it works to push everything else out so why not?
The last person Paige thought she would run into is the hottie from the bookstore but there he is walking right over to her. When the girl from the bookstore walks back inside from the balcony it’s a sign right? Then Hannah walks through the door and things get ugly. You’ve seen possessive guys and possibly the movie Obsessed, well Hannah takes it to a new level.
Watching Paige and Clay fall in love is beautiful. They both hold secrets but slowly open up, and when they do is amazing. However Hannah won’t let Clay go so easily. She’s determined to break them up and will do whatever it takes. Clay tries to take care of it but ends up in trouble. Paige believes the story and set up Hanna hands her, then takes off after the news Gillian gives her. Gillian’s pissed and goes after Clay to see where Paige took off to, but Clay gets a surprise of his own. What’s the news that Gillian gave Paige for her to take off? What or who surprises Clay at the door?
This book leaves you with a cliffhanger that’s going to make you want the next book. I know it did me and I cannot wait for the next book to see how Clay and Paige’s story unfolds. GO grab this book now!
<3 Dani

Out of the Ashes is a book that blew me out of the water.  Paige is trying to recover from burns and from loosing her family in a house fire.  I can even imagine what that would be like.  Her friend Gillian is brining her home with her to live.  They are the best of friends and Gillian has been there every step of the way for her.  Paige is excited to start school and get her life back.  But she struggles with her burn scars and the memories of the fire.  She runs into… literally a guy named Clay.  He’s the player on campus.  But Clay is taken with her and wants her.  Gillian knows him and advises him not to hurt her.  Clay finds that he is attracted to Paige more than any other girl and he wants just her.  To protect her and to love her.  He has a past though and he tries to keep it hidden.  Paige is trying to protect her heart.  She also doesn't think that most guys would accept her.  When she lets Clay in how will he react?  He loves her, that should tell you.  But when an ex from his past promises revenge, will it break them apart?  Let me tell you this chick is CRAZYYYY!!  And the book ends in a huge cliff hanger.
I Loved this book.  It was both emotional and heart warming.  It keeps you hooked and then stops you cold at that cliff hanger!  I need the next book like yesterday!

AND DANI SHARED AN EXCERPT  WITH US

Excerpt
He has that way about him, making you believe in something when you’ve lost all hope. He lives up to his name day after day in every single way possible. I wish I could say that everything since he proposed has been easy. That all we did was love each other as much as possible and as many times as possible, but that’s not the case at all. As soon as we left the cemetery we drove to his mom’s place to give her the good news and it hasn’t stopped since then. We had to pick a date, invitations, a location, flowers, and a dress. To say I was overwhelmed is putting it lightly, I was on the verge of breaking down, and each day brought me closer to the cliff until one day… I jumped head first back into the very thing I said I would never go back to.
I went to see Elise.
