MEGAN

“If you’re trying to hide, babe, then you’re failing. I can see you.” Aston’s words crawl over me in a smooth caress, making my throat dry up and my blood boil simultaneously.
“Why would I be hiding?” I sit up and look forward, determined not to meet his eyes.
He shrugs a shoulder carelessly, twirling a pen between his fingers. I catch his every movement from the corner of my eye. His eyes are burning into the side of my head - they’re begging me to turn, begging me to look.
“Because you want me so badly you can’t bear to see me,” he says in a dramatic tone with a touch of arrogance.
My back straightens. “Clearly someone has been feeding your ego again,” I reply dryly. “Because I don’t remember ever telling you I want you.”
His bicep brushes mine as he leans forward. “Is that so?” he asks, his voice low and barely perceptible.
I fight the urge to drop my eyes to the desk. “Damn right it is.”
A fingertip trails down the back of my arm, the tingling feeling making me fight against a shiver.
“I think you’re wrong,” he whispers. “Because I’m pretty sure you said you wanted me on Saturday night – right before you dug those nails of yours into my back and wrapped your pretty little legs around my waist.”
My head snaps round to him, and our faces are inches apart. His lips are curled in a slightly smug smile, and I hate the fact that’s where my eyes fell first. I drag them away from his mouth and across the sharp planes of his face until they meet his smoky eyes.
I remember why I didn’t want to look at him. His eyes have the power to entrance me and to break me. Right now it’s the former – the silvery hint at the edge of his iris pulling me in and holding me captive. I remember why, from the first touch of his lips against mine on Saturday night, nothing could have stopped us happening.

Safe Haven- Review

Kallie Peters has finally made her dream come true – she’s turned the family farm into Safe Haven, an animal sanctuary. But financial woes are pressing in on her, and she’s worried that the only way to keep the farm is to allow her rich ex-boyfriend back into her life. When a sexy stranger shows up in her driveway with a wiggling puppy in his arms, she knows it’s her chance for a hot rendezvous before she gives up her freedom.

The sex is hot, wild and passionate – the perfect interim before returning to the pressures of real life – but something else is happening between them. Can they find a way to save their dreams, their passions and their hearts, or will they have to say goodbye to all they’ve come to love?

Buy Safe Haven

Talk about reading some cute short stories lately! This one tops the cake with its cuteness, seriously. This book is about 67 pages and perfect for an in between read.

So Kallie owns this ranch called Safe Haven. It was left to her by her grandmother along with a pretty heavy land mortgage. She was making it when she was dating Erik, until he held the money as power.

One day this stranger strides up to her walking his bike, with a little puppy in tow. The guy is undeniably sexy and has her flustered. So who is this guy? Darrin is an LA Photographer taking a break in hopes to find his passion again. What he doesn't expect to find his passion wrapped up into the package of Kallie and her farm. A horse bite and a few steamy eye locks later, maybe they are the perfect detraction for each other.

That is until the interruptions from Erik happen. Faced with a hard decision what will Kallie do? Can she let go and enjoy the little time she has with Darrin and then force herself to take the deal Erik is offering in order to save Safe Haven? What happens when Darrin's leg is healed up and he can set back on the road to his life? Can a few days of a fling just be that or is there more hiding on the land of Safe Haven? Maybe Safe Haven is more that just a ranch for mistreated animals... maybe Safe Haven will save Kallie and Darrin. You'll have to read to find out!
-Dani

A short sweet and hot read for an in between book or a lazy Saturday. Kallie relieved her grandmother farm and turned it into a rescue place for animals. She worked it alone after a break up with her boyfriend. Along come sexy photographer Darrin with a lost puppy. He was just passing through. Well when one of her horses bites his leg, forcing Darrin to stay, will there attraction ignite? And when Kelli needs the farm saved will she turn to her ex? Or will Kallie and Darrin find their home... Together ?
Great read.

Naughty Girl- Review

Alexandra loved the hot sex she experienced as a submissive in the bedroom, but would never give her heart to any man.

After getting hurt by his sub and wife, Paul swore he would never make that kind of commitment to a woman again.

They meet at the club that Alex frequents and quickly become play partners. The sex is amazing, but despite their reservations, they begin to fall for each other. Will they be willing to admit their feelings for each other?

Contains some BDSM (light) and sexual situations. Intended for audiences 18+.

Buy Naughty Girl

So I've been on the outs with books lately. Seriously was suffering from a major book hangover from M. Leighton's Until I Break. So I've been trying to work on one of my many books and when that was going no where, I decided to look through my kindle and see what I could read. I managed to read not one but two books today. One being Naughty Girl and let me tell you for a short read, about 88 pages this book is seriously packed with some hotness.

As you can see in the description that it deals with some light BDSM situations. Get over it, the sex is hot. But its more about the story of Alex and her not wanting to be "collared" and Paul's not wanting to "collar" someone again that brings the story together. What starts off as a mutual agreement for play time turns into some serious, soul connecting, mind blowing sex with a side order of love?

Then when an ex Dom shows up those feelings are put to the test. What does Paul do? Does Alex  go with the ex-Dom or is she finally able to admit something to herself? Trust me when I say to take the chance on this short quickie. I mean after all it is only 99 pennies.
-Dani

When in a reading slump and book hangover what do you look for? A short, hot read. When Dani suggested this one I was like oh my, yes!

Naughty Girl has some BDSM situations but really not enough to have you running away. It was hot sex mostly.
Alex has been going to this club for years and wasn't looking for anything permanent. Paul was coming to help run the club and wanted nothing else. When these two meet and get together, the pages explode! I found Paul adorable... and yes HOT. Seriously when a hot guy calls you princess who doesn't melt.

When Alex's ex Dom comes back and causes trouble, will she go back to old habits or trust her feelings for Paul?
Paul is seriously panty dropping. And 88 pages and .99 cents later, I want more. :)

Full of Grace Blog Tour Stop!

CATEGORY:  ADULT
GENRE:  STEAMY, CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE, NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG ADULT READERS.

Running about 7 bananas strong on shots from Hale and Oscar Maree's wedding bar, what happened between Landon Grace and Sher Traifere was supposed to be a one time thing. A quickie on a romantic night. Sher wanted a fast evening of fireworks to remember on the dull horizon of her life; Landon wanted to get his mind off his psycho ex by feeling Sher's curves. By the end of the evening, a secret of Sher's complicates Landon's attempt to escape the girl's chainsaw giggle.
Some one-night-stands just can't be finished in one night.

Even more complicating, this one rises back up with a hard shot of morning sickness and an entire repertoire of questions. The most important being: how much pull does a guy really have in a woman's choice to pursue or terminate a pregnancy?

And in this case, how clever can he be about stealing her pants?
Go buy Full of Grace
AmazonB&N | KOBO | IBook

I was so excited to hear that Landon was going to get his own story, however I didn’t think it was going to be like this! I had the idea that Sher, Hale’s best friend, was going to play an important part and I knew it was going to be awesome. I was completely blown away by the turn out of the book. It’s no secret that Landon was my favorite, even from Hale Maree. There was just something about Landon that stuck with me and had me begging the author to give him his own book. Especially after having to put up with the psycho ex-girlfriend.

Misty always captures my attention from the beginning of the book, but like Landon I have to admit Sher’s giggling got on my nerves. Also like Landon I had to remind myself that she’s an 18 year old girl with a crush on the epically hot boy. Yup, Landon you’re hot, you know this from our last interview :) haha

Ok so a little bit about the book yea? Well I hate spoilers so I’m not going to elaborate much because, well, I’ll give away spoilers and we don’t want that.  Landon meets Sher at Oscar’s and Hale’s wedding. Close to being 10 bananas, maybe slightly more, one night in the pool house turns into something much more. First times are supposed to be remembered and boy do they remember that night. But just when things start looking up for Landon, beautiful girl, fatherhood on his mind, and deadest on changing Sher’s mind about “getting rid” of the baby, the other shoe drops. What’s the news that Sher has been keeping from Landon? Will Landon stick by even after the news is out? Can he be the bigger man even if the news doesn’t sway his way?

“It would be such a mistake, Sher, to deprive the world of another you.”

All these questions will be answered and trust me when I say you are going to LOVE Landon more than you did before after this book. There is one certain thing that I absolutely LOVED and I mean LOVED about the way Misty wrote Landon, it involves letters he writes to someone. Those touched my heart and will always have me saying Landon is just as swoon worthy as any other guy, if not more! So good job Misty, I love Landon more now than I did before. Which is crazy because I loved him uber hard already.

-Dani

Loving Misty Provencher and Having devoured Hale Maree, I was excited to Jump into Full of Grace. I wanted to see what Landon would be up too. Sadly I had a slow start but then took a day and dove in. LOVED the story. Landon is a great guy that Misty Created! I was however, annoyed by Sher. Once I understood her a bit more I was okay with her.
The book starts where Hale Maree left off, at Oscar and Hale's wedding. Landon and Sher are wedding attendants and paired together. There's, attraction, alcohol and both are a few bananas gone. (Landon's term) With attraction high it's inevitable that Landon and Sher indulge in each other. Sher's first time. After that things are awkward. Landon is one stand up guy, trying to get back with her. Sher does not make things easy... And that is where I got annoyed with her. She is one tough cookie.  What happens in that 4 weeks time that throws Landon and Sher together? It's a lesson in trust, and maturity. I love that Landon's last name is Grace. To me he has A LOT of that for others. Especially Sher. Sweet book! Loved the ending I cried! Thanks Misty!

Cover Reveal- K.A. Linde

It's our extreme pleasure to reveal K.A. Linde's cover to Following Me! So without further Ado here you go!

  Blurb:
“I knew you were running the first time I saw you…"
Devon didn’t have a game plan when she decided to leave St. Louis on a Chicago-bound train for the summer. Just a reason. One she couldn’t share with anyone.

Not Hadley, her best friend from college, who lets her stay in the guest bedroom; no questions asked. Or Brennan, the bartender at the local restaurant they frequent, who she actively tries to avoid. Or Garrett, Hadley’s boyfriend, who befriends her when she has no one else to turn to.

"I just didn’t know what you were running from...."

Desperate to hide at all costs, Devon plunges into her new life in the city. Everyone around her starts to reveal sides of themselves Devon never expected. And just when she starts to get comfortable, her world flips upside down…
"...but I think all along you were running toward me."

4 lives.
All connected.
All with secrets that just keep following them.
Excerpt:
Sweat beaded on Devon’s temple, and she wiped it off her forehead and out of her eyes.  The party had been going all night, and it was nice to loosen up and get lost in the music and dancing.  She hadn’t partied in so long, and she couldn’t resist when Amy had actually invited her out.  Either she was getting over her hatred for the new girl, or Devon had just been there long enough that she wasn’t considered the new girl any longer.

People were packed into the club shoulder to shoulder, many even closer than that.  The music was ear-splittingly loud.  Crazy lights traversed the warehouse-sized room, and they alternated to strobes slowing everything down to slow motion.  She hadn’t had much to drink, but she was dizzy with dehydration and the energy in the room.  Her tank top was sticking to her back, and she had long since pulled her hair up off of her neck into a ponytail.

God, I need another drink, she thought.

Her eyes moved around the room taking in as much as she could from her vantage point.  It really only ended up being the two feet encircling her.  Amy had to be somewhere inside the building.  How had she lost track of her?

Well, she knew how.  There were too many damn people in the place.  It was easy to lose track of one person, especially when that person was as short as Amy.  Still, she should have done better. She didn’t like being alone in dark places.  Whether she was surrounded by people or in a back alleyway at night, she was still alone.

She craned her head to look for her, but was having no luck.  It felt like more and more people were being crushed into the space.  How was this in line with fire code?  Surely the place would be shut down soon.
Walking in the direction of the bar, Devon tried to find Amy in the crowd.  Seriously it was getting harder and harder to maneuver through.  She was literally having to elbow people out of the way. This wasn’t okay, and it wasn’t fun.  They shouldn’t let any more people in.  Things could get out of control.

Devon looked up over the heads of people in front of her and sighed.  It felt like she was never going to reach the bar, and there was a huge line anyway.  She thought maybe the bathroom would be a better alternative…at least there she would have some privacy.

She turned to walk the other direction and slammed right into a meaty guy in front of her, who glared at her as she lost her balance and tumbled to the floor.  Someone stepped on her hand as she tried to get up.  Devon swore and hissed pulling her hand away from the ground where someone else could do the same thing.  She stood as best she could, cradling her aching hand.  It wasn’t easy pushing through people with one hand pressed between her breasts to keep from someone else smashing into it.  All it did was cause people to unknowingly smash into other parts of her.  She hadn’t made it more than a few feet toward the bathroom, and she had already been elbowed in the arm, gotten her foot stepped on, and been drunkenly body slammed knocking the breath out of her.  The club was getting dangerous.

Until I Break

In love, sometimes what you fear most is exactly what you need.

Laura Drake is an author.  She writes bestselling paranormal romances that continue to top the charts.  She is sharp.  She is confident.  She is in control.

And she doesn’t exist.

Samantha Jansen is the woman behind the wig, the woman most of the world doesn’t know exists.  She is shy.  She is insecure.  She is nothing like her main character or her alter ego.  She is scarred—deeply scarred—by a past she can’t let go of and a present she can’t make peace with.

Samantha’s dreams are consumed by one man, the broken hero from her books.  Mason Strait is both her wildest fantasy and her most terrifying nightmare.

When Samantha meets Alec Brand, a corporate consultant, it is as though Mason has come to life.  Alec is handsome to a fault, as elegant as he is arrogant, and more intense than any man has a right to be.
Samantha is soon sucked into a world that mirrors the fiction she writes.  Just like her main character, Daire Kirby, Samantha finds herself unable to resist the forbidden lure of Alec.  And just like Daire, she also finds that she is faced with taking a chance on a man who could either set her free or destroy her.

The scale tilts toward destruction when Samantha finds out that Alec is as much a work of fiction as Mason.  And he has scars of his own, scars that could ruin them both.

I’m so glad that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know M. Leighton. I just finished reading Until I Break and holy mother of god, I absolutely have no words… none… like I am seriously speechless. We’ve always read about books were the girl is broken, or the boy is broken, but what happens when they are both broken? This is the time when I love to read books from my favorite authors because they NEVER disappoint. My favorite book from M was Down to You and Until I Break seriously surpassed that by epic proportions. I have a feeling that I’ll be re-reading this book over and over again. If I believed in giving books star ratings, this would definitely get 10 out of 5!

So we are introduced to Samantha first. It was ironic that Samantha wore the cap of a writer and went by the alternate ego, Laura Drake. Love that! Seriously had me cracking up. But you see from the beginning that though Sam wore the disguise of Laura Drake it was a front to shy away from her past. A past that no one should have had to witness. That’s another reason I love this book. It talks about real issues. I’ve never been put into the foster care system, but my sons have and I can only imagine what goes on in people’s lives that winds up having their kids placed in care. But that’s not the point really. The point is Sam has issues, issues that many face on a daily basis. So when she’s at a signing as Laura Drake, the character she writes about, Mason, is walking through the door and asking her questions.

Alec Brand has his own demons. To some, they really are demons, maybe even a sickness. But to each is own. He’s drawn to Laura Drake when he sees her, but why? Then he runs into Samantha at a coffee shop and something he sworn to stay away from is clawing its way to the surface. He’s a heartbreaker and he warns Samantha to not get attached, that its strictly for pleasurable purposes.  But how do you not fall for a guy like Alec Bland? I mean that would be so impossible. Just being in the vicinity as him has you swooning at his feet, hell I was. There were plenty of times where I had to pause and fan myself because DAMN M, you took this to a whole new level!

But no book is smooth sailing right? I mean how could it be? HOLY HELL then OMG and HOLY HELL again. Then there’s always that point were characters deny their love for each other and pull apart. Though it happens here, the reason behind it will have you saying OMG. But nothing last forever and when love is involved things tend to work themselves out even if it takes a while and a moment of shock therapy. And boy does it involve some shocking. The Epilogue is absolutely beautiful and I can tell you I feel more in love with Alec if that was even possible.

Then again it’s M. Leighton we’re talking about here. How can anything be less than perfect? I wish I had half her talent at the way she writes. It’s beautiful. Her descriptions are just enough to paint a picture for you, the kisses are described well enough to have you feeling that kiss, and the sex. Let’s just say be ready with loads of ice nearby or a cold shower waiting for, because hot damn M sure knows how to write sexy. I shall leave you with a small tease of just how amazingly descriptive M is…

“He’s like Aurora Borealis—colorful, fascinating lights twinkling in the dull, black expanse of my internal sky—and I can’t help but fixate on him.”

Hey M. Leighton, do you think I can come move inside your mind and have a little fun with Mr. Alec Brand?

-Dani

Michelle Leighton..... Wow. New book, intense topic and a lot of tension. After just have finished the book, I'm feeling whoa, spent, ummm satisfied, yes that.

Until I Break is an amazing book filled with tension, heart stopping situations and a whole lot of "oh Damn's" from me.  I will say that I was frustrated in a few spots but that made the book.... And the ending so worth the tension.
Samantha is and author with the Pen Name Laura Drake. She changes her looks and meets her fans this way. No one knows she's really , Samantha. At one of her appearances she see's what she thinks is "mason" one of her book characters.  But he's not but oh so intriguing. Alec Brand has a fascination with Her.  He can see right through her and knows she needs the sexual healing he has to offer.  But he just wants that, nothing more. What is he hiding? He's so mysterious.

Samantha is so unsure if she should engage in a sexual relationship, the always end bad. And her therapist is not really helping in her decision. Samantha decides to give it a go. What world does Alec show her? Can she get past her fears? And can she get Alec to open up? How long till one of them breaks?

Seriously loved this book!!! So well Done Michelle Leighton! I see another best seller!

Always Remember-Blog Tour

How long does it take for a long-distance relationship to break down? Sixteen months.

When Jen and Carl put their relationship to rest after Christmas, Jen’s biggest problem is going back to London ten days earlier than planned – and her ever-present attraction to Samuel ‘Bing’ Edwards.

Bing has no idea why Jen left Devon so fast. All he knows is that he wants her as much as he did the first day he laid eyes on her – so spending time with her while Lexy is still in Devon isn’t exactly a hardship for him. When he finds out she’s single, the only thing on his mind is finishing what they started at his dad’s fiftieth birthday party.
Feelings that have been a long time building between the two explode, and they both find themselves sucked into an easy yet passionate relationship, with Bing determined to prove to Jen that she’s it for him. That she is The One.

But in a city like London, the odds are stacked against them, and there’s always that one person ready to stir things up… And Jen doesn’t know how much of that she can take – even for the guy she loves more deeply than she ever imagined, and eventually she breaks.

Bing isn’t down with that. He wants Jen, and he wants her by his side for good.
Jennifer Mason must learn that Samuel Edwards doesn’t do giving up. Especially not when his forever girl is involved.
One of the best and worst things about series is the final book. It’s a bittersweet moment because it ends perfectly, but it’s the END. I fell in love with Emma Hart as a writer through the Memories Series and now that the end is here, I’m sad to see these characters go. It started off with Alec and Lexy in Never Forget, for there to be tension with Jen, Lexy’s best friend, and Bing, Lexy’s brother. In Holding On we see that things are still going strong with Alec and Lexy but not so much with Jen and Carl. The tension between Jen and Bing escalate and we are left wondering in Holding On if they kissed or not.

Which leads us into Always Remember. So did they kiss? Wouldn't you like to know! Jen and Carl’s relationship is on the rocks and coming to a close. Though it’s a mutual decision they decide it’s best to go separate ways. Now what happens? Does Jen give Bing the opportunity? Does Bing go for it? Before anything can be done feelings have to be admitted to themselves and when they are boy is it fun. Snow in London has never sounded more appealing than it does when it involves Bing. Snow ball fight, a maybe kiss?
A phone call between Lexy and Bing leaves him finding out that Jen is no longer in a relationship and she’s free game… so to speak. FINALLY Bing makes his move. And hot damn he can put that move on me any day. Just when things are looking up an ugly ex of Bing’s makes an appearance. Heidi. Makes me want to smack Bing for even becoming involved with this wretched girl and has me wishing Jen would take care of her and I mean that in the SLAP the b*tch kind of way. Bing is no longer Bing, He is now Sam, the reason for his nickname doesn’t apply anymore and he makes sure everyone knows it.

What I love about this book is though it has extremely hot, and I mean EXTREMELY HOTT sex scenes, its not about the sex. It’s about the connection they have to each other. Have a cold shower ready or if you’re lucky have the hubby/boyfriend nearby. The ending is absolutely perfect and Gram is ever medaling, even beyond the grave. The epilogue is perfect. It combines all four of the characters we fell in love with in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling like you need more. Like questions are unanswered, it’s perfect. It’s the perfect ending to a beautifully written series.

-Dani

I was waiting for this book as soon as I was done with Never Forget. Then Holding in fuller my desire for more of Jen and Bing. Always remember is their story.  When a long time relationship ends because people just grow apart, sometimes the most unexpected surprises come. Jen and Bing flirt and pretend to despise each other. The sexual tension is so hot! You scream "just do it!" We'll they listen!!  Bing wants Jen.... Only Jen, but can she trust that his play boy side won't hurt her? Jen wants Bing to prove he can just be with her. But ya know there are so many girls, one in particular that do not want Bing off the market. Alec and Lexy are there to give advice and its great to see them all interact again. I love these characters and am Sad it's at an end.
