It would’ve been different if I had courage, even an ounce of it. But I was a coward from the day I met you, Ryan Crowley. I still am. In the end it doesn’t matter. The bottom line is the same. It’s my fault.

When the unthinkable happens Carly Cavanough is left beaten, betrayed, and devastated. Her best friend doesn’t understand. Her parents won’t listen. Everyone in her life turns against her. She’s alone. Completely alone, except for Ryan Crowley, the boy she’s been crushing on for years. She won’t admit to him what she can’t admit to herself. But he understands without words. He knows more about what she’s going through than she can possibly imagine and he knows what it will take to start the healing.

With Ryan’s help Carly begins to piece together the fragments of her once perfect life and embarks on a journey of love and healing, just long enough for the rug to be pulled out from under her again. Can she find the strength and will to pull herself together to save Ryan and herself when their lives are on the line?

So we have a treat for you today, the lovely Heather (@Javalotta) is gracing our page with her amazing review of this beyond words book. So I'm not going to get all gushy and say how amazing Heather is, so here's her review. Be sure to send her some love on twitter!

Prepare to be immediately sucked into Carly and Ryan's story. (No spoilers.) Once I started this book, I could not put it down. I have no direct personal experience with this subject matter but, in my opinion, Danielle handled it beautifully capturing the range of emotions without resorting to cliche melodrama or predictable plot lines

This book will make you experience many strong emotions, both positive and some very negative. Depending on your life experience, this may be a more difficult read for some, but it is well worth the journey to the story's conclusion. I loved Ryan! He has his flaws and isn't "too perfect," but he's pretty darn close to it. Carly will frustrate you at times, but you understand that she's doing the best she can to work through her ordeal one step at a time and that her progress toward recovery won't come until she is ready to fully handle what's happened.

For me this was not a predictable read. I felt the story was creative and engaging. It was perfectly paced and fully held my attention to the very end (which I loved!) I highly recommend this book. It's a difficult yet beautiful love story. But when you finish it, you will have a new favorite as well as a book crush on Ryan! I love Danielle's books but I feel she really outdid herself with this one. Don't let the topic deter you. I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to "tough issue" books and I absolutely loved this one. I hope you will try it and enjoy it as much as I did.:)
