When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.
Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.
An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.
With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.
M. Leighton is another author that always seems to surprise
me with every new book I read from her. There’s something in the back of your
mind that says, “She can’t possibly write another amazing book,” and I love
that I’m proved wrong every time. EVERY. TIME. I fell in love with the Bad Boy
Series, especially Cash. Cash was my boy and I loved Olivia. I loved how they
grew, but when we were introduced to Nash, she had me questioning his
character. Was he going to be the good, responsible boy like Cash remembered? The
same guy Cash tried to imitate or was he going to throw us all for a loop?
“Like a salvation of
sorts. I just didn’t know until recently that I needed saving.”
He threw me for a loop. It took me a minute to get into the
story because of how much I loved Cash and Olivia and how much I despised
Marissa, but like every other book by M. Leighton, I wasn’t disappointed. I was
excited and on the edge of my seat. Like every bad boy, there’s a teddy bear
hiding underneath the grizzly skin, but does Nash let it show is the question?
Does Marissa transform into a phoenix, rising from the ashes of her old life
and becoming something new? Sometimes all you need is a distraction, and what
better way than to get lost into a lust filled attraction to someone you find
incredibly irresistible?
“She’s starting to
feel more and more like an anchor, like a North Star.
Like my North Star.”
Not to say it was easy. Hell it was hard for Nash and
Marissa. Both for different reasons, but you can’t deny the obvious. You can
try, but eventually reality smacks you in the face. Their story was filled with passion, anger,
and need. But the thing I loved about Everything
for Us is the fact that each character grew. Nash grew from an angry
outcast into something he didn’t realize was hiding beneath the surface. A
glimmer of who he used to be. Marissa grew from a spoiled, rich girl to a woman
who finally able to start finding herself. From being a monster to being a
human being with feelings. The Bad Boy Series, has enough badness, yes that
refers to the amazing way M. Leighton wrote her sex scenes, but also contains
life lessons about letting the past go, learning who you are, and letting love
happen. Love conquers all right? I’ll leave that for you to decide, just know
if you haven’t bought this book, you need to remedy that right now!
“You’re everything I
didn’t know I needed, but everything I always knew I wanted.”
There’s also a place in the book, you’ll see what I’m
talking about when I get there that I have to give a shout out to M. Leighton
for. She may not realize it but I’m going to claim it like she did it purposely,
even though I know she probably didn’t, “Number
four thirteen. Mom’s birthday. April thirteenth.” Umm yea totally my favorite
part in the ENTIRE book!! Sounds crazy right? I know that…. BUT it’s my BIRTH
DATE so yea that’s my favorite part of the book…. Well that and the end,
but you’ll have to read to find out why the last 10% is also my favorite! We all know how much I love music, I've been listening to a lot lately for some personal reasons. After reading this book there's this one song that stuck out to me and reminds me of the struggle both Nash and Marissa go through this whole book, some of the lyrics are from him, some from her, but ulitmately its about the love that doesn't go away. Listen to the song.. Let me know what you think

I want to start off by saying I adore Michelle Leighton! I have read all her books and was so excited for Everything for Us. Meeting her in person made me even more excited. When it came time for the release I was so excited. Nash’s book! Finally get to meet Nash further. This book is written from Nash and Marissa’s POV’s. It picks up right after Marissa is rescued and Nash and Cash stay with Olivia and Marissa. Marissa has felt a connection with Nash and she is not sure why. She thinks it’s because he looks so much like Cash. Nash and Marissa work on the case for Cash and Nash’s dad. They are working of trying to free him of the charges, and get the trouble off their backs. Nash decides he needs a distraction and Marissa is it. He wants her bad. Can I just say...... WOW their Sex is SUPER HOT. I think the first time is what hooks these two together. Nash tries to deny it often and run away from it. Makes me want to SMACK HIM!!
I think Nash feels a sense of duty to protect Marissa but still runs away from his feelings. And Marissa spends time thinking she isn’t good enough. They go back and forth like this. I sighed several times. It’s hard when you want to shout.... JUST TALK! When Nash decides to take off after laying the case together for his brother and Marissa to take care of, he realizes that he needs her, what will he do?
I absolutely loved this book. I think that it wrapped up Nash and Cash’s lives so well. My favorite was the last half of the book. I felt a pull to the end and just didn’t want to let go. I still don’t. I think I love Nash a little more than Cash for what all he went through. But they are equally HOT. Read it and tell us what you think! Another Winner from Michelle Leighton!
